"Were not our hearts burning [within us] while he spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?" (Lk 24:32)
St. Anselm offers a variety of opportunities to enable our hearts to burn within us along our faith journeys. If you would like to receive email notification of upcoming programs, please let us know by emailing:info@saintanselm.org.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA): RCIA is a process of learning what the Catholic Church believes and teaches and discerning what it means to be a member of the Catholic faith community. Those attending are in various phases of their journey of faith; some have already decided to join the Catholic Church and others are inquiring. Please contact Tom Kavanagh (453-2342 x 20; TKavanagh@saintanselm.org) for details.
Scripture Studies:
In the spring and fall, study groups form to explore the Scriptures using the Little Rock Scripture guide. Specific dates and program information are listed in the weekly bulletin.
Spiritual Growth Committee:
Throughout the year programs are offered on a variety of topics. The events are announced through the bulletin and email notification.
Centennial Scholarship:
A special scholarship has been set up to cover 3/4 of the tuition for a parishioner of St. Anselm to take a class at one of the three Catholic schools of the Graduate Theological Union (Franciscan School, Dominican School, or Jesuit School) in Berkeley. You, as a parishioner, would cover 1/4 of the cost. For questions call Patricia Abracia, Director of Admissions at the Jesuit School, 510-549-5016; pabracia@jstb.edu.

C21 Online:
St. Anselm is a group member of Boston College’s C21 Online; a program of Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. It offers online courses for adult spiritual enrichment and faith formation. With a focus on shared reflection in an online learning community, C21 Online models the kind of conversation and participation that lead to deeper understanding of and personal growth in faith. There are a number of free courses available as well as fee courses which are provided to parishioners at a reduced rate. Contact Pat Langley (415-453-2342 x11, PLangley@saintanselm.org) for the group code. Visit www.bc.edu/schools/stm/c21online to learn more about the program
