This vision comes from you, the parishioners of St. Anselm. It was developed
based on over 1100 ideas gathered in town hall meetings and weekend Masses in
2005.
Those ideas were consolidated and reviewed. Some have already been
implemented. Others did not generate enough support to continue investigating.
One of the major physical plant suggestions was that we provide a place at the
church site where we could gather as a community – for lectures after Mass;
receptions; Liturgy of the Word. After exploring options, the optimal and most
economical solution is a total rectory remodel.
In addition, there are major maintenance actions to preserve our beautiful church
building and to enhance the safety and usability of the school complex. After
analysis and consultation with experts, we have developed a list of projects:
-- Church and school renovations and enhancements $2.25 million
-- New meeting hall/rectory $3.25 million
-- Endowment $2.00 million
We realize that raising these funds will require an incredible commitment from
the parish. We are equally sure that the projects will prepare our parish for the
future and enhance the spiritual legacy that we have all enjoyed as St. Anselm
parishioners.
